LilyPad Arduino

The LilyPad is intended for use in wearable e-textiles, where it is sewn into the article of clothing. The latest version has an ATmega328 microcontroller, and runs at 8MHz from any supply voltage from 2V to 5V. The entire device is about 2 inches in diameter, and 1/8 inch thick.

There are 22 pads around the edge of the board, 20 of which are input/output pads. The other two are for power.

There are accessory input devices that may be attached, including switches, light and temperature sensors, and accelerometers. Output devices include LEDs and speakers. Another device that does visual effects using an ATtiny85 microcontroller may also be attached to run LEDs without having to program the effects in the LilyPad.
