LilyPad Arduino Simple Snap

The Lilypad Arduino Simple Snap was designed by Dr. Leah Buechley and Sparkfun Electronics to support "eTextiles". It differs from the Lilypad Simple in that there is a lithium polymer battery and charging circuit, and instead of holes for pads it has snaps. The kind of snaps used in clothing. There is a prototype board that has male snaps, and snaps onto the Simple Snap, or you can use ordinary clothing snaps.

Why snaps? The attached battery can't handle being washed. Unsnapping the Lilypad Simple Snap from the clothing keeps it dry and safe, while you wash or discard the project.
