The Seeeduino 4.2 is a microcontroller board based on the ATmega328. It has the Uno R3 pinout and is compatible with Uno R3 shields, but adds two 4-pin I2C Grove connectors and one 4-pin serial Grove connector. It has a switching power supply which feeds 3.3V and 5V regulators. The DC outputs are pretty strong. The 5V output can source 2A, providing you have a wall wart powerful enough. The 3.3V pin can source up to 500mA. Your input power can be from 7V to 12V, although the PC board is marked 7V to 15V.
Grove is simply a 4-wire interface format that allows modules to be plugged directly into the Seeduino without having to use a breadboard. There are approximately 144 Grove modules at the time of this writing.
