ATmega128RFA1 Development Board

This site has been great fun, but it has run its course, and it is time to move on. Please get what you want from the site before January 1, 2020. Some pages will move to another site but most will go away.

ATmega128RFA1 Development Board

The reason this board is here is that it was redesigned by the Sparkfun people to have an Arduino Pro form factor. The ATmega128RFA1 is source code compatible with the ATmega128, so it is more-or-less Arduino compatible, and there are files to make it so. There are board definition files also.

The ATmega128RFA1 is a 2.4GHz IEEE 802.15.4 compatible transceiver merged with an ATmega128 MCU. 802.15.4 is the standard that is used by Zigbee, Synapse modules, and the like. It is rated, with the chip antenna, at 75 meters, and data rates around 256kbps.
