The Teensy 2.0 is an ATmega32U4 based board that lives up to it's name. It is 1.2 inches by 0.7 inches, and has 25 I/O pins, 12 of which are analog capable, and 7 of which have PWM outputs. It connects to a MAC, Linux, or Windows computer via USB, and runs from the USB power or from a Vcc pin.
The makers, PJRC also make various handy boards which solder to the Teensy, providing such things as a Transflash or an XBee radio. PJRC is also a joy to deal with when you have questions.
